SHIFT

Charlene Lau Ahier

Artist Talk and Coffee with Charlene Lau Ahier

Sat Feb 11th, 1-3 pm!

The relationship between ourselves and the natural world is shifting. Imminent change is part of our daily lives. The current body of work examines these shifts in perception and asks the question: where are we headed?

Charlene Lau Ahier is a master figurative artist. She studied painting in New York and France, in the ateliers of realist painters Jeremy Lipking, David Leffel and Rita Natarova. This was followed by an apprenticeship in Paris with H. Craig Hanna and an intensive studio program in Italy with Alex Kanevsky. While living and studying in Paris, she encountered a deep connection with works spanning centuries of history.

About Us

Orange Art Gallery has become a permanent player in Ottawa's growing arts scene since opening in April 2010. We represent a very talented group of contemporary artists from Ottawa and the surrounding areas. Orange Art Gallery has relocated to the "Hipster and Trendy" City Centre Area and re-opened the doors in Spring 2014. Our new home is a beautiful historic building which used to house the Bank for CN rail 100 years ago. The 5000 sqft building has been renovated to feature local contemporary art and includes art studios and catering in the lower level. The New Orange offers a unique venue space to celebrate wedding receptions, parties etc. and there is plenty of parking. Orange Art Gallery is open 11 am to 5 pm from Wednesday to Sunday and open late every Thursday night until 9 pm.

Orange Art Gallery also works closely with interior designers, decorators and home stagers to help them find the perfect artwork for their residential and commercial clients. Please email us at orangeartgallery@bellnet.ca or call us at 613.761.1500 to schedule an appointment.
