Jennifer Kershaw was born in Scarborough in 1981 where she spent her early years.
In 2004, Jennifer earned her B.A. Honours degree from the University of Guelph, majoring in Studio Art with a minor in Art History,
graduating as an Ontario Scholar. Soon after, Jennifer and her husband loaded up their elderly car and an equally decrepit U-Haul and
headed off to Ottawa, Ontario to begin a new life.
Jennifer enjoys painting a variety of subjects including the abstract, landscape, still life, and portraits.
Themes she has explored include the Canadian landscape, the biological, and the technological - particularly the obsolete.
Her subject matter is varied but her works all investigate the transformative quality of light.
